Didn't fully trust the return spring (if it has one) and the slight twist put any slack in the rail system to the same side. We just got use to always giving it a little tug/twist. ![]() On a guess.you'll likely find a bit of blue wear at the ocular housing. ![]() The long focus lens has some advantages over a short focus lens if in good repair, do have a nice flat distortion free image. They are surprisingly hard to kill from shooting.being somewhat isolated from recoil. Unertl, Davis, Litchert, ed was the cheaper way to get a good scope back then. Was a good time from poor/young shooters, the scopes were reasonably priced. 1MOA dot still works pretty well on targets, gets lost fast in a cluttered-up situation.Īt one time(about mid 1970's-1980) folks couldn't swap them out fast enough for the "new" scopes. Mostly 20X was used for targets back when that scope was popular.so the 1" dot might make more sense if compared to the paper targets being shot.Ĭertainly will work out varmint hunting.although the AO is a very fine thread and it'snot really great for adjusting back and forth quickly. ![]()
